SHRM 2012 Employment Law Seminar
SHRM Legal Seminar 2012.pdf
Lori graduated from Snow College with an Associate of Science and went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in FAmily and Human Development from Utah State University. She was afraid to start her career, so she took a self proclaimed "sabbatical" and moved to Kansas for a year. Ironically, this is where she began her 11 year year career with Job Corps. In that time she has been promoted 7 times and has experience in 5 different departments. She is currently the Counseling Manager and loves every minute of it because of the rich diverse culture at Clearfield Job Corps. She began her new adventure enrolling in graduate school in January and plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Lori will present on the design, implementation and enrichment of organizational structures, programs and processes to effectively develop and engage a global workforce aligned with the organization's business needs, culture, and values. Diversity training increases participants' cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills, which is based on the assumption that training will benefit an organization by broadening ideas and viewpoints, increasing the inclusion of different identity groups, and promoting better teamwork. Diversity training will assist participants in creating and implementing diversity and inclusion programs that are aligned with their organization's philosophy and meet legal requirements. Participants will be able to recognize that diversity will create an organization with a greater skills base and improve the overall climate by making work more fun and interesting which improves team member retention.
All 2012 dates are tenative and subject to change.
This will be our chapter event for May.
